The notification to sot_safemode_alert@head-cfa.harvard.edu stated "Chandra realtime telemetry shows FMT5 at 2007:347:05:00:55 UT." A telecon was held. The sim exercise simulated the spacecraft going into safe mode, and other difficulties. Initial evaluations of the sim were reassuring about our response. A more detailed debriefing will be held after the first of the year. Because of the sim, we did not do our scheduled comm pass. We did monitor the actual spacecraft state of health in the back room, which was fine. S/C: We did the monthly ephemeris update yesterday; OK. Significant solar activity: The solar flare activity level was very low and there were no C class events recorded yesterday. There is one spotted region on the visible solar disk. A minor M class flare is possible. GOES X-ray flux: generally quiet, but there was a short duration C class event at ~0930 UTC today. CMEs reported for past two days: December 10-12: No obvious fully or partly Earth directed CMEs were observed in LASCO imagery.
