Pass at 293/0210-0500: The support was extended by 30 minutes to dump as much of SSR-B as possible. Pass at 294/0120-0335: The support was extended by 15 minutes to complete SSR-A playback SSR-B playback was completed earlier on this support. Pass at 295/0240-0505: This support was extended by 10 minutes to complete SSR playback. - Current Configuration (as of 295/1300): In Radiation Zone NO Current SI ACIS-I Grating NONE Observation ID 08592 Target Chandra Deep Field-S Altitude 118.4 kkm Asc Radmon Disable 296/20:50z Next Radiation Zone 296/22:56z to 297/10:35z - Supports: 10 Supports Completed (4 34 Meter, 6 26 Meter) - SCS's Loaded: CL294:0703 130 OCT2207C Good through: 2007:295:16:20:01.000 CL295:1803 128 OCT2207C Good through: 2007:297:03:30:02.000 CL297:0603 129 OCT2207C Good through: 2007:298:12:30:01.000 - CAP's / Procedures Run: * CAP Number: 1045 * Time: 291/1740z * Title: Swap to SSR-B as Primary Recorder * Notes: On day 2007:291, the SSR-A playback pointers were reset past data that had been dumped but not captured successfully by the DSN ground system. In order to preserve this data on SSR-A for later dumping (using a software patch to back up the playback pointer), it is desired to swap to SSR-B as the primary data recorder. * CAP Number: 1046 * Time: 293/0003z * Title: PR-219 Uplink to Set SSR-A Playback Pointer * Notes: On day 2007:291, the SSR-A playback pointers were reset past data that had not been dumped successfully. To recover the data it is desired to patch the playback pointer for SSR-A to a value before the portion of the dump that was not successful. CAP ran nominally. * CAP Number: 1047 * Time: 294/1051z * Title: PR-220 Backout of PR-219 * Notes: CAP will backout PR-219 - DSN DR's: M104475 Station: DSS-66 Problem: Unable to command Cause: Command failure in TCP-1 (noticed by having no command lock) Action: OC had DSS-66 configure commanding through TCP-2 DR: C105932 Station: DSS-46 Problem: Lost downlink during SSR playback Cause: Transmitter tripped off Action: Station reset transmitter and support extended 10 minutes to complete SSR playbacks DR: M104480 Station: DSS-66 Problem: Attempt to turn on the downlink failed Cause: TCP-1 command failure. This is likely the same issue as seen in DR# M104475. Action: DSS-66 recognized the failure and requested to used TCP-2 for commanding. The request was granted. - OPS DR's: * Problem: DSS-66 not able to lock on to telemetry and have command lock due to the horizon mask. * Impact: Delay in AOS, SOH and SSR PB. This also resulted in less data being dumped from SSR-B. It was confirmed by the station at approx. 2312 that we had two way acquistion. Telemetry from TCP-2 channel-1 was then shipped to the OCC for it had a slightly higher SNR. This resulted in a few flashes of telemetry, but not enough to fully update displays. The OC/CC decided to send the commands in the blind to reset SSR-B in an attempt to avoid the stopping of SSR recording. This was accomplished 7 minutes prior to the stop recording/science time. * Cause: DSS-66 stated they thought they were in a key hole or horizon mask situation. Elevation at the start of the support was 10.55. * Resolution: The support was extended by 30 minutes to dump as much of SSR-B as possible. Solid lock on telemetry was achieved at approx. 2349z. MP: - OCT22 loads approved last week. - OCT29 loads out this afternoon for review tomorrow. Eng: - OK SOT/Radiation: - ACE protons are very low (~100). - Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low. - Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet on 22 October. Quiet to unsettled levels are expected on 23 October. Expect conditions to range from quiet to active levels on 24 October, with a chance for minor storm periods, as a recurrent coronal hole becomes geoeffective. DATA: - See QL's below.
