Finish obsid 7907, an ACIS-S observation of the group of galaxies 2515 in the 2dfGRS survey, to test conditions for galaxy mergers leading to giant ellipticals. Then obsid 9584, an HRC-I DDT observation of a very faint X-ray transient in M15 to identify a recent bright transient. Then obsid 9582, an ACIS-S/LETG observation of SNR1987A to extend the X-ray spectrum to longer wavelength and measure changes in temperature and velocity of the gas, as part of a multi-wavelength campaign including Spitzer, HST, and ground-based observatories. Monthly pre-approved CAP for EIA self-test to be run at this afternoon's pass. GOT still working the data drop issue. Some tests were run yesterday. ACIS got a FEP0/chip S0 bias parity error alert yesterday. This occurs for more than 10 bias parity errors. There were 23 errors, but Peter Ford reports that 20 were in illegal locations. ACIS team will investigate, but it is expected that this has no impact on the observation and is not an anomaly.
