We intend to verify that the camera body temperature (1CB[A/B]T) has cooled to no lower than -69.8 C and if it has reached this temperature, we will execute CAP #1038 to turn on and enable the side B detector housing heater. SUMMARY: ------- At 260:09:35 GMT we aquired signal and the telemetry showed a temperature of -69.75 C for both sides A and B of the camera body. Since this met our criteria for executing the CAP, we decided to proceed with turning on the side B detector housing heater. The detector assembly power instantly jumped to ~55 W indicating that the heater had turned on and was running at full power. Within 30 minutes of sending these commands, the camera body had reached a stable temperature at its setpoint of -59.9 C. By the end of COMM, the power had stabilized around 8 W and side B of the camera body had reached the set point of -59.9 C. TIMELINE (GMT day 260): ----------------------- 09:35 AOS on DSS-54 09:35 telemetry indicates sides A and B of the camera body had cooled to -69.8 C 09:40 instruct OC to execute CAP 1038 09:49 OC sends commands 1HHTRBEN, and 1HHTRBON 09:50 ACIS verifies 1DAHTBEN and 1DAHTBON are enabled and on 09:51 detector assembly power maxes out at 60 W 09:55 1CBBT steadily increases from -69.7 C to -62.4 C within 5 minutes of turning on the heater 10:30 DA power decreases to about 8 W, while 1CBBT stabilizes at -59.9 C, with 1CBAT one bit-flip behind at -62.4 C 10:35 LOS Snapshot at AOS:
