Emerge from perigee and do obsid 9482, a GTO survey of the Carina Nebula with ACIS-I to study high-mass star formation and feeback into the intersteller medium. Then do obsid 9841, an ACIS-S observation of the brown dwarf 2MASSW J1139511-315921 in the TW Hya association, to test mechanisms of coronal and chromospheric emission and activity due to accretion from circumstellar disks. Three stored command sequences uplinked, on-board loads good until 234:22:00:02. AUG1808D loads approved Friday. AUG2508 products in work for release in the next couple of days. Thermal violations left over from the long Normal Sun Mode have cleared over the weekend. Anomaly will be written up as flight notes, and an informal technical discussion will probably be held to discuss lessons learned. CXC DS can't process the data past the anomaly yet. Today we welcome Matt Dahmer to the Flight Operations Team. Matt is the new thermal engineer.
