SOT Shift Report 2008-10-21 L3379 Duration: 21 Oct 2008 07:00 EDT - 21 Oct 2008 9:15 EDT (Day 295) 21 Oct 2008 11:00 GMT - 21 Oct 2008 13:15 GMT SOT Lead: Bill Podgorski ======================================== Plan ---- Quoting Mike Juda'a email from late last night: "We have recovered from the effects of the IU Reset that sent Chandra into Normal-Sun-Mode and have resumed science operation as of midnight. The first observation starts at ~2008:295:12:54 UT. Patches to update the Ephemeris Time Offset K-constant in the flight software commands to set PCAD parameters were uplinked during a comm pass from 294:16:55-18:55 UT. The SOP to recover from Normal-Sun Mode was started during a comm pass from 294:22:16-23:10 UT reaching Bright-Star Hold. These stars were used to determine the spacecraft attitude for the completion of the recovery performed during a pass from 295:02:00-05:00 UT. Final clean-up commanding of the HRC HV output level settings and Stored-Command Sequence states was performed at the conclusion of the NSM rocovery, before SCS-107 (the SI safing sequence) was enabled and new science loads uplinked. I'd like the thank the team for their hard work over long hours these past couple of days that got Chandra back observing." We are now running OCT2108A on the ascending leg. OScience observations will reatart at 295:12:54 with an ACIS-I observation of "MACSJ0025.4-1222" (obsid 10797). -------------------------------------------------------------------- OCT2108A: 10797 0 MACSJ0025.4-1222 2008:295:12:54:40.755 24.0 ACIS-I NONE 10792 2 1E 1547.0-5408 2008:295:20:12:31.200 10.0 ACIS-S NONE 10787 1 Eta Car 2008:295:23:25:34.025 70.7 ACIS-S HETG T_E72 CAL-ER (57545) 2008:296:19:58:02.578 10.2 -- -- GG_72 CAL-ER (57544) 2008:297:01:25:00.000 1.0 -- -- G2_72 CAL-ER (57543) 2008:297:02:02:28.020 3.6 -- -- T_X73 CAL-ER (57542) 2008:297:05:05:52.635 20.8 -- -- 08967 0 SS73 17 2008:297:11:29:08.054 35.0 ACIS-S HETG 08941 0 NGC 3532 2008:297:21:44:14.654 131.8 ACIS-I NONE T_E73 CAL-ER (57541) 2008:299:11:13:55.290 7.2 -- -- Events ------ BOT 1045 DSS-24 EOT 1145 Notes from 9am Meeting ---------------------- Ops: - Remarks: Pass at 295/0115-0515: Supported by DSS-54 (See DR Below) - Current Configuration (At 295/1300) In Radiation Zone NO Current SI ACIS-I Grating NONE Observation ID 10797 Target MACSJ0025.4-1222 Altitude 126.4 kkm Asc Radmon Disable 296/19:13z Next Radiation Zone 296/22:48z to 297/08:05z - Supports: 7 Supports Completed (6 34 Meter, 1 26 Meter) - SCS's Loaded: CL295:1101 128 OCT2108A Good through: 2008:296:21:51:45.000 CL296:2301 129 OCT2108A Good through: 2008:298:05:30:02.000 CL298:1101 130 OCT2108A Good through: 2008:299:13:19:14.000 - CAP's / Procedures Run: * CAP Number: * Time: * Title: * Notes: CAP# Time Title/Description/Notes 1087 294/1725z PR-231 Uplink to Update ET Offset ET Offset will be uplinked in order to recover from the Interface Unit anomaly that resulted in an OBC VCDU count change.
