To: plucinsk Subject: EPHIN plots during Obsid 303 Cc: ybutt, das Date: Fri, 12 Nov 1999 18:34:15 -0500 From: Shanil Virani --- Hi Paul, I have added three more postscript plots to my ephin analysis web page. At the bottom of the first section, you will find a link to a ps file that plots all the EPHIN electron channels, a link to a ps file that plots all the EPHIN proton channels, and a link to a ps file that plots all the EPHIN helium channels in addition to the integrated channel during obsid 303. The helium channels are virtually devoid of any information as per usual. The electron and proton channels all show significant variability -- particularly around the time of the P4 flare on Day 286.4. There are also further hints of low energy electron fluctuations well before the P4 flare that may align with the background variability seen in the ACIS light curve for this obsid. Print these plots out and compare them with your ACIS light curves -- there should be a good correlation. The event at 5.6186e7 secs, seen in the ACIS light curve, is also seen in _all_ the EPHIN electron channels. Have a look and let me know what you think.
