HRC-I QE version 5 Filename: hrciD1999-07-22qeN0005.fits Location: $CALDB/data/chandra/hrc/bcf/qe/ An upgrade to the HRC-I mean QE versus energy is now available, based on version 3 of the UV Ion Shield transmission, and the new HRC-I microchannel plate (MCP) quantum efficiency model, version 2.0. Once your local CALDB is upgraded to 2.15, you will get the new file as a matter of course. II. Technical Details A. HRC-I QE version 5 A new mean QE model for the HRC-I has been developed from flight observations of three sources, specifically G21.5-0.9 (1 keV and above), Cas A (0.7-2.5 keV), and HZ 43 (0.06-0.2 keV). From this a continuous correction model has been developed to be applied to the previous MCP QE (version 1). The result is a new MCP QE, version 2, for HRC-I.
