		    HELP FILE for acis_lev05 pipeline

NAME	acis_lev05.ped:
		This pipeline is for level 0.5 ACIS (AXAF CCD Imaging 
	Spectrometer) observations. This pipeline runs
	acis_collate_events which is to be run only on interleaved mode data.



USAGE
	   1. Build the pipeline with pbuilder.pl and then run with
	      pctr.
	
		a)build the pipeline
	
		pbuilder.pl -t $ASCDS_SYS_PROF/acis_lev05.ped -r <root>
		-i <indir> -o <outdir> -a <options> > <pedout>
	
		b)run the pipeline
	 
		pctr -prof <pedout> -log <othername> -showlog


		   <nameroot>:          the data file prefix
	           <indir>/<outdir>:    the directories containing the
					input and output
	                                files, respectively
		   <options>:		are discussed below
		   <pedout>:            the name of the PED file created from 
					pbuilder.pl
	           <othername>:         denotes the name of the log file 
					(<othername>.ped.log) If "-log
					<othername>" is omitted, then
					the default filename is "pedout.log".
	           -showlog:		displays log file during the running
					of the pipeline

	  2. Use run_pipe which builds and runs the pipeline in one step.
	
		run_pipe -r <root> -i <indir> -o <outdir> -t acis_lev05.ped 
		-a revision=<revision>
	
	  3. options: 
		revision: the output revision number	
		THESE MUST BE SET!
		example:
		-a  revision=2 

	       
DESCRIPTION
	This is a list of the task name and what each task does. Please refer
	to documentation for each task if more information is required.

	set_ace_events- This tool creates the output lists to allow
	for the auto naming that is required in the pipelines.
	
	acis_collate_events-The input level 0 files are separated into
	primary and secondary files splitting out the events that occurred at
	the different exposure times into separate files.
	
	update_revision- this will place the revision number in the
	headers of the output files.

		                  <root>.ped.log    
	Primary output event list-------->acis<root>_e1_evt0a.lis
	Primary output exposure record list--->acis<root>_e1_exr0a.lis
	Secondary output events list ----->acis<root>_e2_evt0a.lis
	Secondary output exposure record list --->acis<root>_e2_exr0a.lis  


	3) Output Data Files for Archive

PARAMETERS
	
	Input Parameter file name:  acis_lev05.par

	The parameter file is set to take almost all parameters for all of the
	tasks called by the pipeline. Please see acis_collate_events
	for more information.

      (logfile = STDOUT)          Output debug log file

      (verbose = 0)               Debug level (0-5)
      (clobber = no)              Overwrite output file(s) if already exists?
 (qp_internals = )qpoe.qp_internals -> yes) prompt for qpoe internals?
