dmarfadd problem

Pat,
 Your points are well taken. I think that the calcarf
program from the swap page is what you want; you can
make a WMAP using dmcopy with "[bin det=8]" which will
give mkarf information on 8-pixel scales; I believe it
will work fine across multiple CCDs (it uses pixlib to
convert from detector to chip coordinates and then
looks up the FEFs for the relevant chips).
 I'm currently working on updating that thread for
CIAO2.0, so please let me know how it works out for you.
Again, for multiple obsids, you should be able to
merge the event lists and make a single WMAP for
the merged data - as long as all your data is at the
same ACIS temperature, and if it isn't then I think you
really have to analyse things separately.
