I wonder how does dmcopy work for a region filter. For example, this
command,
dmcopy
"Events.fits[sky=ellipse(4098.5,3954,66,104,12.900135)-circle(4115.5,3971.5,21)]"
scr.fits
works and produces what you want, however, the same command with an
addtion "[bin det=8]",
dmcopy
"Events.fits[sky=ellipse(4098.5,3954,66,104,12.900135)-circle(4115.5,3971.5,21)][bin
det=8]" wmap.fits
seems not work, and it produces whole a detect image without region
filter.
