Hello all,
Passing along another suggestion for improvement from a user...

Hello CXC,
I'd like to suggest another improvement to CIAO when you have
the time...
It would be helpful to better expose to the users
the various geometric transformations involved in ACIS
data. The best way to do this would be to provide
shell-level tools (as opposed to pixlib routines)
that convert between the following coordinate systems:
(ccd_id, chipx, chipy)
(detx, dety)
(x, y)
(ra, dec)
(SourceOffsetY, SourceOffsetZ) used by MARX
Obviously many of these are time-varying transformations
(due to dither) and they depend on roll angle, so the tool
would require the aspect offsets file I suppose.
Thanks,
Patrick Broos
