Hi all,
Sorry to come into this late - I was away from e-mail last week. I recently
discussed CIAO and FTOOLS conflicts with Mike Noble at CXC. As Doug says, we
believe that the set-up conflicts are no resolved. However, you should know
that there are some tools with the same name in the two distributions. The
ones I'm aware of are the parameter file manipulation tools, pget, pset etc.
There are slight differences between the CIAO and FTOOLS parameter interfaces
and I have run into problems using the FTOOLS pset on a CIAO parameter file.
So, my advice at present is to perform the FTOOLS set-up first, then CIAO.
If anyone, runs into problems doing this I'd be interested to hear (as would
the CXC I'm sure).
