Hi Marjorie, how are you? Sorry about the problems you're having
with calcrmf. Note that it's not a ciao tool, so there is a difference
from things like acis_process_events. The "shell" parameter is in
geom.par, which is accessed by the pixlib library. This library
is compiled in to calcrmf and is a more recent version than ciao2.0;
you need the newer version of the geom.par file
Just add a line
shell,s,h,"CALDB",,,"Grating shell"
to geom.par and I have some hope your problem will be solved - let me
know.
