coordinates of images produced by mkpsf

Dear Co-Users

I want to use "mkpsf" for making a point-spread function at a certain
location of the field of view given in sky-coordinates, but the tool
always creates pointspread functions at other locations. Did you have
similar problems, or do you know where I do something wrong? A consistent
interpretation of the mkpsf output would be that the tool always creates
images in "detector coordinates", although dmlist and ds9 treat them as
"sky-coordinates". If this is true, do you know how to manipulate the
created psf-image to display it in "sky-coordinates" with ds9?

Example (stars indicate the coordinate mismatch):

mkpsf

input coordinate system (SKY|DET) (SKY): SKY
PSF binning in x direction (0.25:256.0) (INDEF): 0.25
PSF binning in y direction (0.25:256.0) (INDEF): 0.25
PSF size in x direction (2:2048) (INDEF): 20
PSF size in y direction (2:2048) (INDEF): 20
input file (events05.img): events05.img
energy in keV (2.5): 2.5

x (3912): 3912

y (4125): 4125

angle to rotate image in degrees (INDEF): INDEF
number of pixel points in x or y direction for rotation (1) (9):
