Hi Adrienne,

Someone else may have a more sophisticated method but I simply use the
"grab" feature in the program xv. You can crop off the edges, shrink, etc.,
and most importantly, save your images as a GIF. If you're running linux,
there's a fancier package called "gimp" which I expect does everything xv
does. xv and gimp are free off the web.
