Bryan:
You should not have any problem using the "stdlev1" eventdef for your data.
It is actually defined as "appropriate for timed exposure observations that do
not use graded mode" in the acis_process_events ahelp file. I will make a
note that the thread should be updated to reflect that this eventdef is good
for both faint and very faint observing modes.
cheers,
Liz
~ Hi,
~
~ I am in the process of following the thread "Apply an ACIS gain map" to
~ some S3 data. This thread gives a table as to how to determine the
~ "eventdef" parameter for various observing modes (TE faint, TE graded,
~ CC faint, CC graded). However, my data has been taken in "TE very
~ faint" mode. Can anyone advise as to whether I just use the "stdlev1"
~ setting for eventdef, or are things more complicated for very faint
~ mode?
