Hello,
CALDB v2.8 is now available from the CIAO Downloads page:
http://cxc.harvard.edu/ciao2.1/download_ciao_reg.html#caldb
The most significant additions to the CALDB are the ACIS -120C OSIP files.
These files make it possible to analyze all -120 degrees S3 data, including
grating observations, with the gainmaps and FEFs that were in the previous
CALDB
release (v2.7).
The following threads have been updated to accommodate this release:
Apply a new ACIS Gain Map
http://cxc.harvard.edu/ciao2.1/threads/acisgainmap.thread.html
Obtain Grating Spectra from HETG/ACIS-S Data
http://cxc.harvard.edu/ciao2.1/threads/spectra.hetgacis.html
Obtain Grating Spectra from LETG/ACIS-S Data
http://cxc.harvard.edu/ciao2.1/threads/spectra.letgacis.html
Compute HETG/ACIS-S Grating ARFs
http://cxc.harvard.edu/ciao2.1/threads/mkgarf.hetgacis.html
Compute LETG/ACIS-S Grating ARFs
http://cxc.harvard.edu/ciao2.1/threads/mkgarf.letgacis.html
As always, please send questions to the CXC HELPDESK
(http://cxc.harvard.edu/helpdesk/) and comments on the threads to
ciaoenhancements@head-cfa.harvard.edu.
