Support for application of multiple responses to model a single counts
histogram is now available in ISIS as of version 0.9.66. This is
especially relevant for LETG/HRC-S analysis and observation planning,
since overlapping orders cannot be sorted in the data (each response,
in this case, is an ARF-RMF pair for a single order).
Plots and sample scripts can be found at on the ISIS examples web
page:
http://space.mit.edu/CXC/ISIS/examples.html
which show
- a Capella observation and predicted counts in the region where the
strong 15A Fe XVII line is seen in 3rd order
- power-law faked-data and relative contributions of
higher orders.
ISIS source can be downloaded from: http://space.mit.edu/CXC/ISIS/
(The ciao 2.2.1 importable version, 0.9.61, does not have this
feature; future incremental ciao versions will include isis updates.)
ISIS help can be solicited from isis-users community (see
http://space.mit.edu/CXC/ISIS/mailing_list.html), or through the CXC
help-desk.
