Hi there,
When I run acis_process_events on a event 1 file that is not taken in VF Mode,
but have the flag check_vf_pha=yes, the resulting event file flags every
single event as bad in status bit 23. Is it possible to have a_p_e check the
event island to see whether it is 3x3 or 5x5 before running check_vf_pha so
the above problem does not occur? This would be useful for those who want to
script a_p_e using both VF and FAINT mode observations. Yes, I realize that I
could just as easily add in an IF statement to check for VF mode in the fits
header and fork off to one of two a_p_e parameter sets. I will do so for now,
but there should be a safety check within a_p_e so stupid stuff like this
doesn't happen.
