Dear Chandra blank sky background users,
There are new versions of the 2000 and 2001-2002 background files
processed with the new CXC-MIT CTI correction (recently released in
CIAO 2.3). There are also versions processed with the PSU corrector
for both periods.
In addition, period D now extends from 2001 into 2002, includes ACIS-S
VF mode, uses the same sets of observations for the main chips for CXB
modeling, and subsets of ACIS-S data with both S1 and S3 on for flare
modeling, plus some other minor improvements.
While these files are on their way to the CALDB (except the PSU
corrector-processed files), they can be downloaded from
http://cxc.harvard.edu/contrib/maxim/acisbg/ . Let me know of any
problems.
