The following information may be of interest to those people using
Sherpa to simulate observations for their Astro-E2 proposals.
Observations with the X-ray Spectrometer (XRS)
--------------------------------------------------
An updated version (xrs_ao1b.rmf) of the XRS response file is now
available which can be used in Sherpa. The file can be obtained from the
HEASARC web page at

Observations with the hard X-ray detector (HXD)
------------------------------------------------
We have added a thread that describes how Sherpa can be used to
simulate observations with the hard X-ray detector (HXD) which include
the effect of the systematic error on the background. The thread is
