Hello Chandra Users:
This message should be read only by users of CIAO 3.4 and by site
managers who are maintaining an active installation of CIAO 3.4 at
their locations.
Users of CIAO 4.1.1 need not read this message, as it does not apply
to CIAO 4.1.1 or CalDB 4.1.1.
However, for CIAO 3.4 users, there is now another upgrade to your CalDB,
to version 3.5.2. CalDB 3.5.2 includes two new items, which were
released to CIAO 4.1.1 users last week. They are the new HRMA effective
areas, version N0008, and the concurrent new HETG grating efficiencies,
version N0006. Upgrading your CIAO 3.4 CalDB to version 3.5.2 will allow
your exposure maps and ARFs/GARFs to be congruent with those released in
the Chandra CYCLE 11 proposal planning files and CYCLE 11 PIMMS
effective areas.
However, CIAO 3.4 does not and will not include the latest CY11 proposal
planning tools, which have only been released with CIAO 4.1.1.

compatible with CIAO 3.4, for the near future, as public releases. They
will continue to be versioned as "3.x.x". CalDB 3.x.x will also be
used in Standard Data Processing, and Level 3 processing, until
those software systems are upgraded for the new Chandra CALDB4
installation.]
