Hello chandra-users,

An update to the CIAO contributed science tarfile has been released to
patch two bugs in the specextract script:

     * the grating parameter in mkarf was not being set for zero-order
grating data point source extraction (weight=no).

Important: Users who have extracted zero-order spectra with specextract
must remake the ARFs to obtain the correct response.

     * bug fix: regions may be specified on the command line or in a
file, i.e. "sky=circle(344,435,10)" vs. "sky=region(src.reg)".

In addition, two context managers - new_tmpdir and
new_pfiles_environment - have been added to the ciao_contrib.runtool
module to make it easier to use a temporary directory that will
automatically be removed after use.

The new tarfile may be download via ciao-install
(http://cxc.harvard.edu/ciao/download/) or from the CIAO Contributed
Scripts Page (http://cxc.harvard.edu/ciao/download/scripts/).
