Hello, Chandra users of CIAO 4.4 or 4.4.1:
There is a new patch upgrade to the Chandra CalDB, namely version 4.5.1
released today. It contains upgrades to the HRC-S time-dependent gain
map (T_GMAP) used in hrc_process_events to allow for PI-based background
filtering, done in Level 2 reprocessing.
The new T_GMAPs affect all HRC-S and HRC-S/LETG data taken since 01 Jan
2012. HRC-S data taken before that date are unaffected by this upgrade.

NOTE: The Chandra Reprocessing Series IV (See
http://cxc.cfa.harvard.edu/cda/repro4.html) will be reprocessing *for
the archive* all HRC-S OBS_IDs from calendar years 2011-2012 once CalDB
4.5.1 is installed. In so doing Repro IV will apply the most recent
DEGAP (CalDB 4.5.0, June 27, 2012) and T_GMAP (CalDB 4.5.1) corrections.
