Hello, Chandra Users:
Chandra CalDB upgrade version 4.5.2 has been released as of today. The
new upgrade includes the ACIS time-dependent gain (T_GAIN) upgrade for
Epoch 50, May-July 2012. The T-GAIN update affects users with
observations taken since Feb 1, 2012.
Additionally, corrections to the eighteen ACIS Group E blank-sky
background files (the ones that become effective 2005-09-01) have been
released. The correction removes an errant coordinate transform column
from those files, which prevents problems in CIAO analysis scripts such
as specextract.
The ciao-install script available at our web page
http://cxc.harvard.edu/ciao/download/
has been modified to detect your current version and update it to
version 4.5.2 automatically.
