Hello Chandra Users:
The CXC has just released a patch to the Chandra CalDB 4.5.5, which had
been released on December 13, 2012. The patch version, *4.5.5.1*,
includes a correction to the ACIS branch index file, wherein the new
ACIS QEU index listings had omitted the TELESCOP keyword. This occurred
because the latest ACIS time-dependent QEU files lacked the TELESCOP =
CHANDRA keyword setting.
This has been corrected in CalDB 4.5.5.1. Note that the functionality of
CalDB 4.5.5.1 is the same as 4.5.5, and hence the upgrade is not
necessary for CIAO 4.5 performance at all. It only corrects the index
listing and the QEU files to conform to their formal specifications.
The upgrade can be obtained by using the ciao-install command available
at the CIAO downloads page:

Users of CIAO 4.4, who want the latest CalDB, can use the ciao-install
at http://cxc.harvard.edu/ciao4.4/download/ to get the latest CalDB. The
CIAO 4.4 web pages are no longer being updated with the advent of CIAO
4.5, however.
