AHELP for CIAO 4.5 ChIPS v1

display_line

Context: lines

Synopsis

Display the specified line.

Syntax

display_line()
display_line( [ChipsId] )
display_line( "line_id" )
display_line( "all" )

Description

Depending on the argument, this command displays the current line, the line indicated in a ChipsId structure or by the line_id, or all lines.

  • (no argument) - the current line is displayed.
  • ChipsId - an optional ChipsId structure containing values to modify the currency state for the command.
  • line_id - identification tag given to each object that is created; use this to display a specific line.
  • all - displays all lines.

Example 1

chips> add_line(0, 0, 1, 1)
chips> hide_line()
chips> display_line()

Create a line and hide it, then display the current line.

Example 2

chips> id = ChipsId()
chips> add_line(.1, .3, .9, .3, "id=flat")
chips> hide_line("flat")
chips> add_line(.3, .8, .8, .2, "id=slope")
chips> id.line = "flat"
chips> display_line(id)

Two lines are created; the second line is current after it is created. The id.line command sets the line value of the ChipsId structure to the first line. That line is then displayed.

Example 3

chips> add_line(.1, .3, .9, .3, "id=flat")
chips> add_line(.3, .8, .8, .2, "id=slope")
chips> hide_line("all")
chips> display_line("all")

Two lines are created and hidden, then the display_line command displays them both.
