OP03 Procedures op03:

HRC Command Sequences

Antico. Shield 2 Manual On and Ramp-up

Description:

This is the sequence that will be used the first time the HRC anticoincidence shield PMT#2 is activated and for subsequent activations until adequate confidence in the performance of the PMT is gained to allow for autonomous operation.

This sequence starts by setting the HV level for the anticoincidence shield photomultiplier tube (PMT) to its minimum value and then turns on the HVPS. After verifying that it is OK to proceed, the HV is raised to the operational level

Cautions/Restrictions:

This sequence requires a real time contact for its entire duration.

Using PMT#2 is now standard operation; the signal amplifier configuration must be changed from the one established by Power Up HRC on CEA A - SCS #69 before this procedure is executed.
