MTA Trends/Derivatives

MTA Trends/Derivatives

Provided below are trending and limit predictions for various Chandra subsystems. For each msid the data are plotted and the mean, standard deviation, and first and second derivatives are calculated. Two plots are displayed for each msid. Plot 1 includes data points, a first degree fit line (first derivative) extended out 6 months based on second derivative prediction, and a curve representing the data smoothed over a suitable period (10 or 30 days in most cases).
NEW! We have added min and max envelopes in dark blue to predict future limit violations. The envelopes are 4-th degree fits to the daily minimum and maximum value for each MSID.
Plot 2 shows the point-to-point slopes of the smoothed curve and a fit line (second derivative) to this data. Three iterations are performed, one with all data, one with daily minimum values, and one with daily maximum values.

NEW (03/27/07). The weekly plots indicate TSTART for observations as green ticks at the top of the plot. The shorter, orange ticks are CAL-ER observations.
Times are UT.
