Dear Chandra Reviewers,


Laptops and Internet at the Review
----------------------------------
The final review reports will be edited on-line via a password
protected web site.  Deputy chairs will "sign-off" on review reports
electronically via the same web site.  We therefore encourage you to
bring a laptop to the Chandra review if at all possible. For those who
do not, we will have several available for sign-out from the Systems 
Administrators (Room 210) or you can use one of the provided PCs (in 
panel/email rooms).  Access to the Review Report web site will be 
using the same password as you used to enter the Reviewers Web Site 
(where you entered contact information, travel preferences etc).  

In an open networked environment, such as that at hotels and conference
centers, virus, worms and trojaned malware can travel and infect
unprotected systems within minutes.   To help avoid potential problems,
it is advisable to have systems patched with the latest updates and to
have antivirus/firewall software installed.  We therefore request that
you update your own laptop before using it at the review.

The following two sites frequently post current and new threats to
computer systems and networks.     Sometimes, they will post methods 
of avoiding compromise or infection even before a software vendor has
released a fix or patch.   It is a good practice to visit these sites
at least once a week.

Hotel Wired and Wireless network setup
-------------------------------------------

Once at the review, we will provide information on how to connect to the 
network at the review. On Monday evening and early Tuesday morning, support 
staff will be available in the International Ballroom "D" to assist with your 
internet connections.   You are strongly encouraged to bring your laptop and
confirm that you can make DHCP network connections.  Don't wait until
the Panel sessions start to find you can't connect.

We generally recommend using a wired connection at the review since this
is more stable than the wireless.
