Synopsis
Return the coordinate system of an image
Syntax
get_coord( [id] )
Description
The get_coord() command returns a string identifying the coordinate system of an image loaded in a Sherpa session, by data set ID. The possible string values are 'logical', 'physical', 'world', 'image' (same as logical), and 'wcs' (same as world). The set_coord() command can be used to change the coordinate system of an image.
- id - the id of the 2-dimensional data set to use; if not given, uses the default dataset id (id=1 by default, see "ahelp get_default_id")
Example 1
sherpa> get_coord()
When called with no arguments, the get_coord() command returns the coordinate system of the default data set 1.
sherpa> get_coord()
'logical'
Example 2
sherpa> get_coord(3)
A string identifying the coordinate system of data set 3 is returned.
sherpa> get_coord(3)
'world'
