Rebin a histogram
Syntax
rebin( x0, x0lo, x0hi, x1lo, x1hi )
Description
The rebin command redistributes a histogram from one resolution to another.
Example
sherpa> arf = get_arf().specresp sherpa> elo = get_arf().energ_lo sherpa> ehi = get_arf().energ_hi sherpa> lo = get_rmf().e_min sherpa> hi = get_rmf().e_max sherpa> eff = rebin(arf, elo, ehi, lo, hi) # without normalization sherpa> width = (hi-lo) sherpa> ewidth = (ehi-elo) sherpa> ewidth = ewidth[:len(width)] sherpa> eff *= (ewidth/width) # normalized
Rebin the ARF from ENERG_LO to E_MIN.
