The APR18 load will be released early next week. S/C: we have been monitoring the IRU performance in slew maneuvers. It appears that the current drift calibration coefficients will need to be updated sooner than we had expected. A recent 180 degree maneuver showed this, with errors larger than appropriate. We are prepariing new K constants and are planning to upload them in a flight software patch late next week. SIGNIFICANT SOLAR ACTIVITY: Three C flares were recorded yesterday, all from a source currently at the northeast limb. At midnight UTC the visible solar disk had 13 spotted regions. None of the spots on the sun's visible disk poses a threat for strong solar flares. GOES X-ray flux: Quiet in the mid-B range today - no flares.
