Observing 'GX 13+1' (obsid 11817) with ACIS-S/HETG. Radiation environment is elevated due to the arrival of the first of two full halo CME's from AR 11092, associated with the C3 long duration flare on August 1. -------------------------------------------------------------------- AUG0210A: 11056 2 TOO_XTEJ1752-223 2010:214:06:53:24.731 98.0 ACIS-S NONE 11817 1 GX 13+1 2010:215:10:29:57.331 29.0 ACIS-S HETG 12296 0 PKS 2005-489 2010:215:19:03:37.697 50.0 ACIS-S LETG T_E18 CAL-ER (56092) 2010:216:09:23:02.007 0.1 -- -- GG_18 CAL-ER (56091) 2010:216:10:50:31.522 5.0 -- -- T_X19 CAL-ER (56090) 2010:216:19:33:47.711 0.1 -- -- 10139 1 Vela PWN 2010:216:22:42:54.711 40.0 ACIS-S NONE 11318 0 PGC042748 2010:217:10:24:36.239 3.5 ACIS-S NONE 11320 0 PGC042173 2010:217:11:37:54.722 8.2 ACIS-S NONE 11818 1 GX 13+1 2010:217:14:28:46.221 30.0 ACIS-S HETG 13019 0 PKS 2005-489 2010:217:23:19:00.636 91.4 ACIS-S LETG T_E19 CAL-ER (56088) 2010:219:01:13:12.095 0.1 -- -- GG_19 CAL-ER (56087) 2010:219:03:00:00.000 1.0 -- -- T_X20 CAL-ER (56086) 2010:219:10:32:54.563 0.1 -- -- 12191 0 SPT-CLJ0307-6225 2010:219:13:17:26.563 25.0 ACIS-I NONE 11346 0 NGC1439 2010:219:20:43:37.563 7.5 ACIS-S NONE 11537 1 Q2237+0305 2010:219:23:22:54.301 30.0 ACIS-S NONE 12152 0 HESS J1848-018 2010:220:08:26:22.216 10.0 ACIS-I NONE 11666 0 SDSS J145200.52+4431 2010:220:11:44:13.462 9.6 ACIS-S NONE 12092 0 SPT-CL 0528-5300 2010:220:15:15:56.852 20.0 ACIS-I NONE COMM: Support (GMT) BOT EOT Station Site Track time (local) --------------- ---- ---- --------- --------- ------------------------------- 215/1135-1350 1235 1335 DSS-27 GOLDSTONE 0835-0935 EDT, Tue 3 Aug 2010 Notes from 9am Meeting ---------------------- Ops: - Remarks: - Current Configuration (as of 215/1300): In Radiation Zone NO Current SI ACIS-S Grating HETG Observation ID 11817 Target GX 13+1 Altitude 139.1 kkm Desc Radmon Disable 216/09:03z Next Radiation Zone 216/09:03z to 216/22:16z - Supports: 3 Supports Completed, Total Time: 6.9 hrs. - SCS's Loaded: - CAP's / Procedures * CAP Number: * Time: * Title: * Description: * Notes: DSN DR's: * DR #: * Station: * Problem: * Cause: * Action: * DR #: * Station: * Problem: * Cause: * Action: - OPS DR's: * Problem: * Impact: * Cause: * Resolution: - TECH DR's: * Problem: * Impact: * Cause: * Resolution: MP: - Aug 9 loads being reworked due to added constraints. Should be done today with review tomorrow. Eng: - Another gyro bias shift was observed yesterday. The magnitude was about 1/2 of that observed on Saturday. It returned to nominal after several hours. SOT/Radiation: - ACE solar protons elevated (9000+) due to the effects of the full halo CME on August 1. - Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low. However, there will be a chance for an isolated C-class flare from Region 1092. - Geophysical Activity Forecast: Geomagnetic field activity is expected to be at unsettled to active levels on day 1 (03 August) due to the arrival of the first of two CMEs observed on 01 August (this CME was associated with the long-duration C3/Sf flare at 01/0826Z). Activity is expected to be at active to minor storm levels with a slight chance for major storm on days 2 - 3 (04 - 05 August) due to the arrival of the second slower CME observed on 01 August (associated with a large filament disappearance).
