Start at 217:12:00 GMT = 08:00am 05 Aug EDT End 10:00am 05 Aug SOT Lead DAS (Times will be given in GMT on day 217.) PLAN ---- Continue holding at position of SCS 107 high radiation trigger. Execute a CAP to perform a momentum dump with is needed before the next perigee passage. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS --------------------- SCS 107 was triggered by the HRC radiation shield. From the 9am status meeting: Three supports over the past 24 hours. No issues. AUG0711A products released for review at 12noon EDT today. (Products properly should have been named AUG0511, TBD what to do about that.) Ran two pre-approved CAP's yesterday: 893A to disable SCS 29 following the SCS107 run, and 648FB for the bi-weekly ephemeris parameters update. There will be a CAP review of 768A at 11am EDT, to perform a manual momentum dump, contingent on NOT restarting the observing program this afternoon. Telecon: 1-877-521-0441, pin: 111165# Looks like first of 3 CME's hit just before 00:00 today. ACE soft protons went up to 10,000 but had been steadily decreasing to about 3500 which is a level that ACIS could tolerate for the rest of the orbit. HOWEVER, it appears the second CME hit about 1100 this morning, and soft protons are now increasing again. A third CME is on the way. Current GOES P2 channel protons just barely below the 1/3 threshold at which we would consider resuming, but at the moment (1400) are descreasing. We will tagup TBA prior to the pass at 1425EDT to discuss if we can restart with the AUG0711 products, and a possible Plan B to restart after the next perigee exit if necessary.
