GOES X-ray flux: Flux is still elevated to low B level since the long duration M flare on 07 Aug. Earth-directed CMEs: August 7, an impressive (large and wide) CME was observed in STEREO-B images after the M1 flare in region 11093. The CME is highly likely Earth directed, just missing a direct sun-Earth line. Forecasters expect the cloud to deliver no more than a glancing blow to our planet's magnetic field when it billows by on August 9th or 10th--not a major space weather event.
