SIGNIFICANT SOLAR ACTIVITY: Region 11130 developed slowly and remains capable of producing C and minor M class flares. In the late hours of Nov. 30th a blast produced a B-class solar flare and hurled a bright CME into space. Preliminary coronagraph images from NASA's twin STEREO spacecrafts suggest that the cloud might be heading toward Earth. Further analysis is required to confirm that the CME is coming our way. GOES X-ray flux: Short duration B class flares erupted yesterday at ~2000 UTC and today at ~0600. Such short flares have not produced major proton flux enhancements in the past.
