MP: A fast TOO came in last night, not approved yet. It could go in the Feb 14 week. It might be a rework or interruprt. SIGNIFICANT SOLAR ACTIVITY: Region 11153 developed very quickly with the main penumbra growing from small to large in just one day. Polarities are intermixed and M class flares are possible over the next couple of days until the region is behind the northwest limb. There's a possibility of a proton event as well. At 01:31 UTC on February 9 the region produced a very short duration M1.6 flare. GOES X-ray flux: baseline level in between flares is now in the mid-B range. CMEs: none in the past two days. GOT/IST: dmz problem last night.
