Start at 046:13:00 GMT = 08:00am 15 Feb EST End 10:00am 15 Feb SOT Lead DAS (Times will be given in GMT on day 046.) PLAN ---- Continue running load FEB1311A. Finish obsid 12889, an ACIS-S observation of the galaxy NGC4472 in the Virgo cluster, to study ram pressure stripping, measure temperatures and abundances, and survey the low mass X-ray binary population. Then go through perigee passage. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS --------------------- ACIS focal plane is quite warm at -117.8. This could be an issue for the science objectives of this observation. From the 9am status meeting: Three supports over the past 24 hours. No issues. One stored command sequence uplinked, on-board loads good until 50:02:45. Ran CAP 1172, Battery Reconditioning Resistor Reconfiguration, and K-constant patch (PR-285). FEB2111A products should be out today, for review probably tomorrow. The one bit change in HETG retract position which occured following the retraction on Feb 5, may be associated with mission high temperatures in that area. Not a cause of concern. There was an X-class solar flare early this morning, and two recent earth directed coronal mass ejections (CME). The latter effects could reach earth in the next few days. Meanwhile ACE, and GOES, proton levels are only 10 times background levels, two orders of magnitude below levels of concern. Thermal modelling working group is cancelled for today. At 2:00pm EST today the EHS and GRETA passwords will change.
