SIGNIFICANT SOLAR ACTIVITY: At midnight there were 2 spotted regions on the visible solar disk. Region 11050 decayed slowly and quietly. Region 11051 was mostly unchanged and quiet. February 2010 is on the verge of a three-year ""first."" It's the first month since January 2007 with sunspots every single day. It's been a long solar minimum, but solar activity is on the rise again. GOES X-ray flux: quiet today. Earth-directed CMEs in the past two days: none.
