The JAN31 products are being produced. S/C: generally quiet. We had one LAE valve thermistor dropout. We'll add it to the list of those that regularly drop out. SIGNIFICANT SOLAR ACTIVITY: the complexity of sunspot group 1147 is increasing as a rash of small spots develops just south of the main core. This could herald an increase in flare activity. GOES X-ray flux: flux is steadily increasing today from the bottom to the middle of the B range, with several short bursts. One of them reached the C range, but was of very short duration. CMEs: no obviously Earth directed CMEs were seen in LASCO or STEREO images. in the past two days. GOT/IST: we did our semiannual work station reboot.
