MP: The JAN31C load should get approved today. SIGNIFICANT SOLAR ACTIVITY: At 01:03 UTC today as it was rotating westward out of view, region 1149 produced an intense flare and a bright coronal mass ejection. At the same time on the east limb a magnetic filament became unstable and erupted, hurling a portion of itself into space. This also manifested as three short duration GOES X-ray flux bursts, two B class and one stronger M class, then dropping back down to the high A level. The two CMEs are not headed toward us.
