To:sot_shift from: Dan Schwartz date: 01 Jul 10, 10:00 EDT Subject: SOT shift report 2010-07-01 L3997 -------- See http://asc.harvard.edu/acis/SOT_reports/sot-shift.html, or /proj/web-cxc/htdocs/acis/SOT_reports/Jul_01_2010_L3997.txt. Shift L3997. Start at 182:12:00 GMT = 08:00am 01 Jul EDT End 10:00am 01 Jul SOT Lead DAS (Times will be given in GMT on day 182.) PLAN ---- Continue running load JUN2810A. Finish ACIS on-board source calibration (cti, gain) and egress from perigee passage. Then do obsid 11874 a GTO ACIS-I observation of SPT0528-5300 as part of a survey of clusters of galaxies selected by their scattering of the cosmic microwave background (Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect), to measure temperatures and masses of a complete sample of clusters. Then do obsid 11364, an ACIS-S observation of NGC3457, as part of a survey of spheroid galaxies to assess the influence of environment on activity in low luminosity black holes. Then do obsid 11026, an ACIS-S observation of the globular cluster Terzan 3 to test formation of X-ray binaries in low density cores. This will end the JUN2810A loads. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS --------------------- From the 9am status meeting: Three supports over the past 24 hours. No issues. First segment of JUL0210A was uplinked, on-board loads good until 184:18:25. CAP 1165 was run to interrupt the JUN2810A loads with JUL0210A. The JUL0210A products were approved yesterday evening. They are an interrupt load, including the two ToO's which were approved earlier in the week. JUL0510B products need to be created in continuity, expected out this afternoon for a load review late this afternoon or tomorrow morning. The simulation exercise went perfectly yesterday. ASVT behaved well, and all requirements were completed by about 12:30pm EDT. Sun remains quiet. ACE solar protons show some backstreaming spikes.
