Products will be released this afternoon and reviewed tomorrow. S/C: we exceeded thermal limits on ACA yesterday and continuing today. This is a result of a forward sun attitude. We are considering adjusting the limits. SIGNIFICANT SOLAR ACTIVITY: Old sunspot 1082, currently rounding the far side of the sun, erupted during the late hours of July 5th. The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory recorded a CME billowing over the edge of the solar disk while NASA's STEREO-B spacecraft had a direct view of the explosion itself. The active region will turn to face Earth after July 10th. GOES X-ray flux: There was a gradual rise in flux starting yesterday at 1800 UTC, rising to the low B level. It is now gradually subsiding to the high A level. Such a long duration event is rare-probably associated with the far side CME. GOT/IST: the repair man is here to fix the computer room A/C.
