SOT Shift Report 2009-07-22 L3653 Duration: 22 July 2009 07:00 EDT - 22 July 2009 9:15 EST (Day 203) 22 July 2009 11:00 GMT - 22 July 2009 13:15 GMT SOT Lead: Bill Podgorski ======================================== Plan ---- Running JUL2009A in radiation zone just after perigee. Continuing to work on the MUPS Tank Pressure Anomaly: - The MUPS tank pressure is still very slowly decreasing and is noisy. It may be trending to an asymptote at about 215 psi - The A side isolation valve (MUPS A) was opened at 202/2253z - The software patches to close the B side iso-valve and use the A side for safing are ongoing, but there is no immediate plan to do so. - Anomaly fault tree generated, work is ongoing to identify/rule out various potential causes of the anomaly * The MUX which processes the MUPS pressure telemetry was ruled out as the cause of the problem since all other signals going through it are nominal * Pressure sensor vendor (Tavis) has been contacted and are working to identify failure mechanisms which could produce our anomaly signature * Likewise with the MUPS tank vendor (ATK) - We will run the mission with NO MUPS unloading until the pressure situation is resolved -------------------------------------------------------------------- JUL2009A: 09952 0 RS Ophiuchi 2009:201:16:33:06.192 130.2 ACIS-S NONE T_E75 CAL-ER (56943) 2009:203:05:40:43.619 0.1 -- -- GG_75 CAL-ER (56942) 2009:203:09:30:00.000 0.0 -- -- T_X76 CAL-ER (56941) 2009:203:16:20:06.298 0.1 -- -- 10412 0 ZwCl 1829.3+6912 2009:203:19:33:41.298 35.0 ACIS-I NONE 10633 2 Vega 2009:204:05:39:01.813 2.0 HRC-I NONE 10634 2 Vega 2009:204:06:20:58.060 2.0 HRC-S NONE COMM: Support (GMT) BOT EOT Station Site Track time (local) --------------- ---- ---- --------- --------- ------------------------- 203/0810-1255 0910 1240 DSS-34 CANBERRA 0510-0840 EDT, Wed 22 Jul 203/1235-1745 1335 1730 DSS-27 GOLDSTONE 0935-1330 EDT, Wed 22 Jul Notes from 9am Meeting ---------------------- Ops: - Remarks: - Current Configuration (as of 203/1300): In Radiation Zone YES (203/05:41z - 203/16:20z) Current SI Grating NONE Observation ID None, Finished 56942 Target None, Finished Gravity Gradient Altitude 13.7 kkm Asc Radmon Disable 205/20:16z Next Radiation Zone 205/20:44z to 206/08:20z - Supports: 6 Supports Completed (6 34 Meter, 0 26 Meter) - SCS's Loaded: CL206:0801 129 JUL2009A Good through: 2009:207:14:15:02.000 - CAP's / Procedures * CAP Number: 1119 * Time: 202/2253z * Title: Open Isolation Valve 3 (MUPS A) * Notes: Open Isolation Valve 3 (MUPS A) Ran nominally DSN DR's: * DR #: M105426 * Station: DSS-65 * Problem: 1 hr 7 mins. late for AOS * Cause: Problems recovering from Maint. * Action: Wait for DSS-65 to recover - OPS DR's: * Problem: * Impact: * Cause: * Resolution: - TECH DR's: * Problem: * Impact: * Cause: * Resolution: MP: - July 27 loads out for 1pm load review today.
