To:sot_shift from: Dan Schwartz date: 02 Jun 2011, 10:00 EDT Subject: SOT shift report 2011-06-02 L4333 -------- See http://asc.harvard.edu/acis/SOT_reports/sot-shift.html, or /proj/web-cxc-dmz/htdocs/acis/SOT_reports/Jun_02_2011_L4333.txt (NOTE NEW LOCATION FOR THE REPORTS DIRECTORY AS OF DEC 2010) Shift L4333. Start at 153:13:00 GMT = 08:00am 02 Jun EST End 10:00am 02 Jun SOT Lead DAS (Times will be given in GMT on day 153.) PLAN ---- Continue running load MAY3011B. Finish obsid 13417, an ACIS-I calibration observation of Abell 1795 to study the spatial distribution of the build-up of contaminant on ACIS. Then do obsid 13419, an ACIS-S DDT observation of a new Pulsar Wind Candidate to confirm the structure and get an X-ray spectrum. Then do obsid 12686, an ACIS-S observation of PSR J1425-5723 as part of a survey for nearby weak-field radio pulsars. Then do obsid 12554, an ACIS-S observation of the anomalous X-ray Pulsar 1E 1547.0-5408/PWN, to study the nebula structure and integrated relativistic electron outflow, and infer the initial period of the neutron star. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS --------------------- ACIS focal plane is at -118.7 for an ACIS-I contamination calibration. Not an ideal situation. From the 9am status meeting: Four supports over the past day. One a 14 minute added support to followup the double eclipse. No issues, one stored command sequence uplinked, on-board loads good until 157:04:38 (July 6). Combination lunar, short earth, eclipse was nominal. CAP 1186 was run to reset the battery resistor. JUN0611 products expected out momentarily for review today. ACE solar protons peaked around 5000 at about 00:00, and are now decreasing. Another CME yesterday could have effects on Saturday.
