Shift L3980. Start at 165:12:00 GMT = 08:00am 14 Jun EDT End 10:00am 14 Jun SOT Lead DAS (Times will be given in GMT on day 165.) PLAN ---- Continue running load JUN1410A. Finish obsid 11250, an ACIS-I observation of PSR J1740+1000 to study the structure of the long, narrow tail of this supersonically moving pulsar. Then go through perigee passage. NOTES/ISSUES/PROBLEMS --------------------- From the 9am status meeting: Ten supports over the weekend. A problem Saturday when DSS-65 transmitter failed and could not command. Switched stations and satisfied all support requirements. Three stored command sequences uplinked, on-board loads are good until 169:11:15. A nominal eclipse over the weekend. The last medium eclipse of the season will occur early tomorrow. Two short eclipses will end the season. Have been noticing brief increases of gyro current 1 (~20% or ~20ma) over the past couple of months. Not a concern at present. A small particle shock hit earth on Saturday, probably associated with an M-class flare. Soft protons increased somewhat but peak was missed during ACE data loss. Currently decaying at a levela few times background, and a rate that indicates peak was less than about 1000.
