MP: the SEP12A products should be out for review this aftenoon. SIGNIFICANT SOLAR ACTIVITY: Region 11283 decayed slowly losing spots and penumbral area. While there's still a magnetic delta structure in the center of the region, it appears to have weakened considerably after the last X class event. GOES X-ray flux: short duration minor C class event at ~1100 UTC today. CMEs: September 6: The CME associated with the major M5 flare in region 11283 was mainly directed outside a direct Earth path. A minor disturbance is starting noe. A wider CME was observed following the X2 flare, likely impacting Earth's flank tomorrow. This is the third significant flare with CME from sunspot 1283 since Sept. Not one will hit our planet squarely. Glancing blows from the three clouds will continue through Sept. 11th.
