ACIS Activities

1. Raw Mode Data for Bias Algorithm Determination  SOP61079

[this telemeters raw frames from S2 and S3]

This ran on the night shift, with Eric Martin doing the commanding and
Fred and Peter covering for ACIS science.  The procedure was intended
to be run coming out of the radiation belts.  Upon issuing the FEP and
DEA video boards power-up command; Peter was concerned that power
levels on the DPA side A and B were not the expected levels.  Peter
hypothesizes that one or two of the FEPs may not have come up
properly, because the last run before the belt passage was CC3X3 run
which may leave the FEPS in a strange state.  Fred and Peter decide to
power down the video boards and FEPs and start the procedure again.
After this, the procedure runs fine although it is not clear that the
any of the FEPs were in an anomalous state.
